The Office for University Preparatory Programs

The Office for University Preparatory Programs provides a central meeting place for various prorams designed to further the educational achievement of children and teenagers. The programs here are part of the front lines in the challenge to ensure a superior education for all students.

Science and Technology Enrichment Program

The Science and Technology Enrichment Program (STEP) provides students with vital exposure to the technical and licensed professions. Students experience ongoing academic instruction, seminars and immersive field trips that provide hands-on experience for many high-powered careers.

Center for Excellence in Education through Technology and the Arts

The University at Buffalo Center for Excellence in Education through Technology and Arts (CEETA) is a collaborative educational enterprise focused on caring for students and their families, strengthening academics, and encouraging their success by the practice of service learning, the arts, media, and technology.

The Upward Bound Program

Upward Bound is a Federal TRIO Program, of the Department of Education, Office of Post Secondary Education, consisting of educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.

UB Pre-Collegiate

This summer-only program helps provide a college-like academic experience for high school freshmen and sophomores. UBPC students not only get advanced preparation for college, but also become more thoroughly acquainted with the University at Buffalo, New York's premier public research university.

Liberty Partnerships Program

The Liberty Partnerships Program is one of the premier dropout prevention programs of New York State. Over 600 students receive Liberty services, which include but are not limited to tutoring, college preparation, workforce development, various seminars, cultural experiences, and even distance learning.
