The Upward Bound ProgramUpward Bound is a Federal TRIO Program, of the Department of Education, Office of Post Secondary Education, consisting of educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education. |
UB Pre-CollegiateThis summer-only program helps provide a college-like academic experience for high school freshmen and sophomores. UBPC students not only get advanced preparation for college, but also become more thoroughly acquainted with the University at Buffalo, New York's premier public research university. |
Liberty Partnerships ProgramThe Liberty Partnerships Program is one of the premier dropout prevention programs of New York State. Over 600 students receive Liberty services, which include but are not limited to tutoring, college preparation, workforce development, various seminars, cultural experiences, and even distance learning. |
